A Brief Introduction of International Exchange College-ISA

International Exchange College in Inner Mongolia Normal University takes care of the international students’ daily life and language study. IEC provides a pleasant learning environment and a highly qualified teaching team. Presently 13 experienced teachers of Chinese work in IEC. Ten multimedia classrooms are for international students only. There is also one reading–room for international students. The dorms are convenient and comfortable, with a TV set, a telephone, a toilet and a bathroom in each room. There are also shared kitchens and laundry rooms. IEC provides good-quality student support and learning and living conditions.

Life on Campus

Accommodation

IMNU offers accommodation at different price levels. We are on call 24 hours, offering cleaning service in and outside dorms and providing hot water on regular hours, among other services.

Dining

IMNU has canteens at different price levels.

International students can apply for a dining card to have meals in the canteens. Also, the public kitchen in the dorm building can be used for self-cooking.

Medical Care

International students with health problems can get medical treatment at the school clinic with their student ID card or go to other hospitals in Hohhot, with medical expenses paid by themselves.

Other Services

Library: International students can apply for a library card by showing their student ID card.

Laundry: There is a laundry room in the international student apartment building. Laundry expenses shall be paid by students themselves.

Shopping: There are on-campus grocery stores open for daily necessities. Additionally, large super markets, wholesale fruit markets and wholesale bookstores can be found nearby.
