Information for International Applicants

Preparation for Application and Registration

1.Applicants who intend to study in China for over 6 months should take a health test before application. The exemplar health test form can be attained from the Chinese embassy.

2.Applicants who intend to study in China for over 6 months should submit an officially verified non-criminal record certificate.

3.Applicants should submit a resume and academic certificates.

4.Applicants should prepare 3-6 passport format photos before enrollment.

5. We accept students who have basic Chinese language skills to enroll at any time.

Requirements for Enrollment

1.Chinese language programs

Applicants must be from 16 to 55 years old, and in good health condition.

2.Undergraduate programs

(1)Applicants must have a high school graduation diploma and a valid passport.

(2)Language requirements: Arts and Literature programs require HSK level 5; Economics, Management and Fine Arts programs require HSK level 4; and natural science programs require HSK level 3.

(3)Applicants must be from 16 to 55 years old, and in good health condition.

3.Master’s programs

(1)Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and a valid passport.

(2)Language requirements: Arts and Literature programs require HSK level 5; Economics, Management and Fine Arts programs require HSK level 4; and natural science programs require HSK level 4.

(3)Applicants must be from 16 to 55 years old, and in good health condition.

4.Doctor’s programs

(1)Applicants must have a master’s degree and a valid passport.

(2)Language requirements: Arts and Literature programs require HSK level 5; Economics, Management and Fine Arts programs require HSK level 4; and natural science programs require HSK level 4.

(3)Applicants must be from 16 to 55 years old, and in good health condition.

5.Short-term specialized courses

(1)Applicants should refer to the corresponding degree programs for enrollment requirements.

(2)Language requirements: Arts and Literature programs require HSK level 5; Economics, Management and Fine Arts programs require HSK level 4; and natural science programs require HSK level 4.

(3)Applicants must be from 16 to 55 years old, and in good health condition.

Application and Enrollment Procedure

Step 1: Applicants should acquire the Application Form for Foreign Students on the homepage of International Exchange College, or from Teaching Affairs Office of International Exchange College through tax, phone or e-mail.

Step 2: Applicants should send by mail the completed Application Form for Foreign Students together with photocopies of the passport, resume, academic certificates, certificate of non-criminal records, and health test results to Teaching Affairs Office of International Exchange College.

Step 3: International Exchange College will send a letter of admission and a Visa Application for Study in China Form (JW202 Form) within 2-4 weeks after receiving the application.

Step 4: Successful applicants should take the letter of admission  and the Visa Application for Study in China Form (JW202 Form) to apply for a study visa (X visa) at the Chinese Embassy in their home country.

Step 5: Successful applicants should arrive to register at the required time and place. In case of failure to do so, they should send a letter of explanation to International Exchange College, or they will be disqualified for enrollment.
